Job advert for Assistant Coordinator at Exeter Crown and County Court

We are hiring an Assistant Coordinator at Exeter Crown and County Court. We’re looking for a compassionate and empathetic person who shares our vision to improve the lives of people experiencing the Justice System.

What we do

Our system does not always address the root causes of crime. Therefore, anyone can end up at court alone, feeling powerless, trapped and terrified. As a result, we give free, confidential, practical help and emotional support for anyone going through court and into life beyond. We sit down and listen and think about what that person has been through. We then use our experience to find solutions to complex situations. Ultimately, we guide towards positive change and stay by their side for as long as they want us. To understand how this works, you can watch our new animation here.

Established service inside the court

We started out inside the courts in Bodmin and Plymouth in 2005 and quickly expanded to Truro (2012) and Newton Abbot (2018). Exeter, our most recent hub, was set up in 2023. As a result, we have become an established go-to service inside Exeter Crown and County Court.

Dynamic team making a difference

Right from the start, our dynamic team of staff and volunteers began to make a real difference. In short, 399 people have received life-changing support at our hub inside Exeter Crown and County Court in just two years.

Above all, our team reduces the risk of re-offending. On top of this, they have supported many people experiencing stress and confusion through the family court in Exeter. Consequently, our family work is going from strength to strength.

Excited for the future
