The London event at the Palace was a treat for us all. A real ‘pinch me’ experience and quite surreal to think of where we were! It was lovely to be amongst some amazing people – all doing great things for their communities. We were all so proud to be there representing our wider organisation. A perfect day in every sense.
Our local Garden Party was an opportunity to celebrate the last 11 years and the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in a more relaxed setting. What we thought would be a quiet affair turned out to be quite something else! We were joined by over 100 colleagues; volunteers from the past and the present, stakeholders and partners; a local MP; and our long suffering families – we know how working for CASSPLUS can take over our lives! There was fun, games, dancing and much laughter in the sunshine – even the evening drizzle didn’t dampen spirits and the overnight camping made for even more fun! This was our first outdoor event and we were stunned by the amount of support and numbers of donations that were made to help create a successful day for everyone. Our sincere thanks go to everyone for their time, their support and their friendship over the years.
