Help is at hand if you live in Cornwall and you have been impacted by a family member going through the Criminal Justice System.
Devastation after a court judgement
There is always devastation after a court judgement. A fine or a prison sentence is life-changing for any family. Frequently, the family is left to pick up the pieces alone.
Sadly, innocent parties can suffer the effects of that court judgement for years to come, sometimes through the generations.
Poverty and social inequality
Poverty and social inequality can contribute to crime. These challenges are intensified for the family of the person who has been prosecuted. Unfortunately, those left behind can struggle financially and don’t know where to get help.
Feelings of isolation and abandonment
On top of this, the family is often left feeling lonely and isolated. Vulnerable and alone, people don’t know where to turn for help. In the end, there are often financial worries.
