Launching our 20th anniversary campaign
We’re launching our 20th anniversary campaign with Tim’s story. Tim, our current Chair of the Board, has been with us right from the start. This picture shows him with fellow charity leaders, in particular Carole Edwards who also helped to set up our charity 20 years ago. This year, Tim announces his retirement. There’s a lot to celebrate.
Exemplary leadership
Tim has been an exemplary leader for 20 years. From just one site when he started in 2005, we now have five in-court hubs across Devon and Cornwall. This has been a remarkable achievement and we are so thankful for his dedication and loyalty to our cause. Steve Parker, CEO, states:
Tim is a much-loved and long-serving member of the team. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
Tim’s story
As a young academic in the Department of Psychology at the University of Plymouth in 2005, Tim wanted to gain knowledge of the Justice System at the coalface. Since then, he has quietly supported our senior team through thick and thin. We cannot thank Tim enough for his hard work and loyalty to our charity.
Tim picks up
I’ve seen the phenomenal work of CASS+, supporting people who end up in court because of their chaotic lives. It’s clear that they need assistance to break this cycle of re-offending. Above all, it’s unlikely that these people would have been able to put the past behind without the dedication of our employees and volunteers. Ultimately, neighbourhoods will be safer and the fear of crime will be reduced when people get practical help and emotional support at court. I’m so very proud to have been involved in this great work.
Launching our 20th anniversary campaign with stories
As I look back over the last 20 years, it’s the stories of the people that will remain with me forever.
I’m so looking forward to celebrating these stories over the coming year.
Selection process
Our Board is now going through a selection process for a new Chair. Tim will step down in March 2026, allowing a smooth transition and plenty of time to hand over.
