Newton Abbot Magistrates’ Court – Salary £21,457 (pro-rata)

Join our team as Assistant Coordinator at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court
Do you have a passion for supporting people through the criminal justice system? Perhaps you want to make a difference in your community? Or maybe you understand the need to steer people through this complex system? No two days will ever be the same at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court. You will be guiding defendants, witnesses, victims and their families who are in crisis. Working sensitively and confidentially, you will quickly identify their needs and get them the help they need. You will be an excellent communicator and have an understanding of external agencies and services, along with a proven track record of administration, accurate data entry and efficient organisation of files. We hold the lifetime achievement of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. You will understand the importance of volunteers and the difference they make in our community. You will enjoy coaching and training these people who dedicate time and energy to our cause, enabling them to grow their skills, knowledge and experience. You will be fully supported with our inhouse wellbeing and training programmes, enabling you to get better at what you do. Inside Plymouth Magistrates’ Court and beyond, we are respected for the impact we make in the lives of the people who come through our door. Thank you to one of our local Plymouth City Councillors for a contribution to CASSPLUS from their Community Grant. Support of this kind means a great deal to small charities delivering niche work in their communities. Funds will support continued development of our marketing strategy.
